A Good Breakfast
The most preferred breakfasts are usually different kinds of buns, pastry, toasts or others. However in England they usually consumed a traditional English dish and this is the scone. Due to the fact that scones are mainly consumed in England it isn’t very easy to find a recipe which is good. But at this moment you are lucky due to the fact that this article is oriented to give you the possibility to learn one of the oldest, but still best scone recipes.
As always you will need a number of ingredients, but they aren’t anything special. 170 grams of butter, 3 eggs, 3 spoons of baking powder, 56g of sugar and 450g of milk. However it won’t be fatal if you mistake the sugar dosage by a little bit, because you will just make the scones sweeter.
When you collect all the ingredients you can start the process of cooking. First of all find a big bowl and start sifting all of the flour into it. Afterwards do the same with the baking powder. Use the 170g by ripping it into small pieces and add them to the bowl. Then with your hands rumple the pieces so that they mix with the flour and soda.
When you’ve done this create a well in the middle of the bowl. Let it stay like that and grab a medium bowl in which you will prepare another mixture. Firstly put the eggs into it and mash them until they become one color. Add all the milk to the bowl with eggs and start stirring until you achieve a one colored mixture. Start pouring the final mixture in the previously created well. Pour it slowly and carefully. After you put about of the mixture in the flour and soda you should start mashing it until it starts to look like dough. Sprinkle your desk with flour and put the dough onto it. Mash it a bit until it becomes stretchier. Take a rolling pin and sprinkle it with flour.
Roll the mixture so that it becomes thinner and bigger. Afterwards take a cutter and stamp out the scones. Arrange the scones into a large baking tin and then use the leftover mixture of milk and eggs to cream their upper part so that they have a golden shine. Put them into the oven for about 15 minutes, but it is possible that they can bake earlier. So watch them from time to time and when they reach a golden brown color you should take them out.
And with this the scones are done. Then it is up to you to decide with what you won’t to serve them. Will it be jam, cheese, yogurt or whatever you decide, however you will notice that they have the best taste with some jam.
