Being Creative When Learning New Breakfasts

Every meal of the day is important, but breakfast gets the body ready and alert to start the day. When we do not take time to have it, it is like trying to get to work with no gas in the car. Doctors tell us that we need to eat in the mornings to get ourselves started for the day. The solution to boring breakfasts is trying new ones.

For those who are tired of breakfast, it is perhaps time to check out new recipes and find other ways to fix it, so that it will be interesting again. Adding fruits and vegetable and other ingredients that are not usually associated with breakfast may result in meals that will be enjoyable. Cook books and websites may facilitate with finding great recipes for the family to enjoy together.

Most people think of eggs and bacon for breakfast. Some may even like pancakes and sausage, but other than that, many do not vary from this routine. Perhaps this is why some lose interest in eating breakfast. Without venturing outside the box, and trying new things, we become bored and stop doing what is no longer interesting to us.

Yogurt makes a great breakfast for those who are getting bored with the traditional breakfast items. Sometimes putting some granola on top of the yogurt can add flavor and variety, and can provide a light, tasty, healthy breakfast in the morning. For those who like oatmeal, adding raisins or dried cranberries, as well as nuts of your choice can make it a great new hot cereal. Adding a piece of toast will complete the meal.

You can experiment with ingredients that you like to make a recipe of your own. A great homemade cereal is a combination of dry oatmeal, coconut, raisins and sunflower seeds. A cup of this in a bowl with a little half and half on top makes for a great morning meal. It is very high in nutrients, fiber and flavor and adds variety to your morning meal. If bananas are appealing, throw a few slices over the top for a new taste.

Some people just really like eggs in the morning and for those who do, just adding extra ingredients to them can provide a whole unique taste to your breakfast. Try fresh vegetables and spices. Scramble some eggs and throw anything fresh on top with a little cheese. The result is a really great egg dish that adds spice and variety to your morning. Adding a piece of toast will pull the whole meal together.

Try making a breakfast casserole. Websites and cook books are full of these and will provide your family with a wonderful variety. It is just important to be creative and try things that provide flavor and variety in the meal. If the creations continue, it may pull the kids out of bed early to see what smells so good.

Trying new things is the remedy for boredom. If you come across a recipe that is interesting or is a family favorite, record it. Maybe start a new cook book with a collection of breakfasts that have been tried and approved by the family. Your loved ones may enjoy the new meals and you just might end up with new eggs recipes that can be handed down through the years.
