Christmas Decorations For Your Home
So what are the different decorations that you break out each year. Do you pull out your old plastic moose mugs that have been wrapped up in newspaper for a couple of decades? Several different things come to mind, but a few of them really rise to the top for my family during my favorite time of year. But there are some things that are just not very attractive, like a technicolor Santa Claus in your front yard. But if a blow up snow man makes you happy and bring your family the Christmas spirit, then more power to you.
One of the most traditional holiday decorations during the most festive time of year is Christmas lighting. The most common form of this type of lighting is string lights. Of course you know that you can buy these little twinkling lights in all colors of the rainbow, but you may not be completely familiar with the new LED lights.
When they first came out just a few years ago, they were very expensive, but now they have gotten to be much more affordable so most all families can afford to throw away their dangerous old style lights and buy some new LED lights this holiday season.
Have you ever heard of poinsettias? You probably have seen them during this time of year, but are just not aware of what they are called. They can be found at stores all over the place during the holiday season.
I prefer the red ones over the white ones. But the white poinsettias make a very beautiful addition to your home this year. Consider giving them some air and keep them on the front porch if it does not get very cold during the winter where you live.
Almost every year I buy several wreaths to put on my front door and windows. You can choose from holly wreaths or pine wreaths. And don’t for get to put a beautiful red bow on it to add that festive look. And remember to point a spot light at the one on your door. It adds a special touch that most people leave out.
Do you love to drink from Christmas Vacation moose eggnog glasses like the Eddie and Clark. The Griswolds would be proud.
