Pancakes From Scratch

Ingredients you will need:
* 1 cup of flour
* 2 tablespoons of sugar
* 2 tablespoons of baking powder
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1 cup of milk
* 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Get a large bowl for mixing your dry ingredients. Put your flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in the bowl and mix together. Next, start adding your wet ingredients to the dry mixture. Add your milk, vegetable oil, and egg to the bowl. Use a wire whisk or large fork to mix all the ingredients thoroughly until most of the clumps are gone.
It’s pancake cooking time! Grab a frying pan or a griddle and apply a light layer of oil to it, and place over medium-high heat. Use about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake and scoop it onto the pan. Cook the pancakes on each side until they are golden brown. Take your pancakes off the pan and they are ready to serve.
Tip: Check the batter for bubbles to know when the first side of your pancake is done. You don’t want to burn the first side and it’s hard to see it when it’s down.
