Incorporating CLA Into Your Diet To Aid In Weight Loss
Restaurants and food companies around the world are working tirelessly to either reduce or completely remove trans fats from the foods that we enjoy. This unhealthy fat raises our bad cholesterol levels while also lowering the good ones. This contributes to heart disease.
These artificial fats have been linked with not only obesity, but also type two diabetes, cancer, in addition to heart disease. Staying away from these fats is essential to staying healthy.
However, there is a naturally occurring trans fat called CLA or conjugated linoleic acid. This is found in grazing and plant eating animals such as deer, goats, sheep and cattle.
CLA is associated with helping to decrease abdominal fat, jump starting metabolism, reducing the level of triglycerides in the bloodstream, lowering cholesterol and even improving muscle growth. It has also been linked to reducing resistance to insulin.
The preferred method of taking CLA to help with weight loss is through ingesting meat and dairy from grass fed animals. But, there are CLA supplements out there in pill and powder form as well. Just make sure that they come from a reputable company and certified as authentic before purchasing any.
CLA, like so many other products on the health food market may not be authentic. Going to a health food store adds a layer of security. Some products that are not genuine will not work, and they can also pose a health hazard.
This is not a miracle weight loss pill, and CLA needs to be part of a balanced diet and good exercise routine in order to work properly.
Don’t forget that all trans fats are not bad for the body. In fact, CLA is quite beneficial to have for overall health and well being.
