Quick, Balanced And Inexpensive Meals For A Family

For working parents, providing healthy and affordable meals that are easy to cook are difficult to come by these days. Having to clean after cooking is just more added stressful and time consuming chores.

You would love to be able to take a chance to just sit and relax for a while and have someone else cook for once. Most “instant meals” are costly and unhealthy, but there are some solutions to cooking healthy and quick meals.

Chicken meals can be easy and healthy. Some suggestions are to put the chicken wings into a soup, or to put the chicken in the oven with some chopped up onions and some other vegetables and use some seasonings to add some more flavor.

All you have to do, is wait for the chicken to bake. While you wait, you can use the free time to spend with your children, relax, or accomplish other tasks that need to be done.

Perhaps you are a vegetarian. Try preparing some pasta with some spices, tomato sauce and some cheese.

You can also mix and match different ingredients to come up with many different pasta sauces. Just by adding a few mushrooms or other fresh vegetables or spices can change the recipe. Try adding fresh chopped tomatoes to your sauce.

Other quick and cheap meals to prepare are with eggs. One meal that is very popular in the middle east and now in homes here is “shakshuka.” This meal consists of eggs, tomatoes, and onions. Adding rice makes this quick fix a healthy meal for the family.

For working parents, “quick and easy” are key words for them. Being able to cook healthy in the process is a bonus.
