Salsa 101

In Spanish, salsa means "sauce." This popular condiment has a long history. Salsa is thought to have originated with the Aztecs in the 15th century. Salsa was first mentioned in writing in a description of foods sold in what today is known as Mexico City. This salsa was made of tomatoes, hot peppers, and pumpkin seeds. This condiment was served with turkey, fish, and venison.

Using Appetizers As Snacks

What makes the difference between a snack and an appetizer? Probably nothing more than the appearance. When we are preparing appetizers for a party, we want each one to look as good as it tastes. When we grab a snack... any old bag of chips will do. In reality, there does not have to be this difference at all. Shouldn't we all care more about what we eat and how we eat it?
