The Importance Of Teaching Men How To Cook
Mother knows best. This is the usual line that we hear. The cook in the family is mostly the mothers. Because she knows their favorite foods. In the present time, mothers are already working to help the husband in providing family needs. This is why the fathers are now learning to do kitchen chores sometimes.
The sad thing about overworked parents is that they tend to prepare easy to cook meals which result in unhealthy meals that make their children obese. In fact, there is a correlation between the amount of time spent cooking in the kitchen versus the rate of obesity in the household.
About 40 percent of men cook dinner at home but after the next two months, only 13 percent of all meals men prepared at home.
And in recent years, this rate has decreased further. Studies have found out that most men do not appreciate cooking and would rather not prepare family meals.
However, there are opportunities to change this attitude. TV cooking shows, magazines on food and cooking, and internet websites are there to draw men, particularly the fathers, to cooking.
Despite this drive, men still aren’t as interested in the kitchen as women are. As a wife, you can encourage your husband to enjoy cooking by making meal preparation more fun. How about suggesting a recipe and helping your man cook the new dish.
The best thing to convince fathers to cook is to bring all the members of the family to the kitchen., Every member should cooperate, help each other to prepare the meals. In this way, fathers will feel comfortable and consider this activity as a great bonding for the family.
It is hope that men will get involve in kitchen activities. Be one.
