Why Not All Vegetables And Fruits Is Healthy
Most of us have probably heard the saying, “An apple a day keeps your dentist away.” While the saying may be true before, today taking in fruits and vegetables may cause long run diseases – even cancer. Can this be possible? Yes, it is. Today, the pressure to produce more and produce products with impeccable looks has required farmers to employ pesticides in their indoor and outdoor farm.
If you only know how fruits and vegetables are grown at present, you will refrain from buying them anymore. As you can observe greenhouses everywhere, people are wearing space suits to spray pesticides in the fruits and vegetables.
It’s common practice for farmers to use artificial fertilizers and pesticides to grow vegetables. These vegetables may look delicious but they carry deadly chemicals.
When these vegetables and fruits are placed inside the supermarkets, meats located nearby can easily absorbed the pesticide on the fruits and vegetables. These meats come from livestock and poultry that often grow in dirty, crowded and mechanical houses. The livestock and poultry are also fed with processed food.
Packaging methods are not that great either. The methods used today remove nutritional value from the food causing them to become even unhealthier. Statistics say that the spinach of today is 2% lesser in nutrients than it was more than 50 years ago!
So is there any way to circumnavigate getting sick if all the normal food we ingest are full of chemicals we are not aware of? Try going organic!
Unlike before, organic products have grown in numbers and variety. In general, they may cost more than the industrially grown ones, but in the long run, you can avoid having to face the side effects of industrial chemicals and pay for more health services. Let us protect family and ourselves.
To keep a healthy life, aside from going organic products, one should also focus on plant-based vegetables and fruits instead of the rice and other grains that contain high carbohydrates. Food supplement may also help you complete your diet.
